Books & Resources
Honest reviews of books that help parents shepherd their children, read in full before we review them.
Books can help, especially when you don’t know what to say. But no book can replace your presence, your prayers, or your own conversations with your child.
How we choose and review books. We read the whole book. Each review says who it’s for, what it teaches, how it lines up with Scripture, where we agree and disagree, and who should probably skip it. Read more in How we research and review.
Disclosure. We do not accept payment or free copies in exchange for coverage. If we ever use affiliate links, they will be clearly marked. Including a book is not an endorsement of everything its author has said or written.
Shepherding your child's heart

- Age of OpportunityOur founder's personal recommendation of Paul David Tripp's book on parenting teenagers, read in full: what it's about, why he recommends it.
- Passions of the HeartOur founder's personal recommendation of John Street's book on pornography and the underlying heart issues, read in full: why he calls it possibly the best book on this subject from a biblical worldview.
Your child's struggle is not the end of the story.
A perfect filter cannot save your child, and a perfect parenting strategy does not exist. Our hope is in Christ, who meets sinners with mercy and does not let go of the ones he loves.
